Corporate Media Covers the Obama Joker Poster

    August 7, 2009

MSNBC desperately tries to make the Obama Joker poster a racial issue. It’s MSNBC, after all.

An obnoxious Greg Gutfeld for Fox makes it a Democrat vs. Republican thing and thus pushes the false right-left paradigm. Yawn.

CNN: It’s those damn Repubicans and Rush Limbaugh! Ordinary Americans are outraged, don’t you know.

Clash at Health-care Town Hall Meeting in MO. Highlights Dem/Union Thuggery

    Andrew W. Griffin
    Red Dirt Report

    August 7, 2009

OKLAHOMA CITY – Checking the St. Louis Post-Dispatch website as I do every day, the headline on the homepage, “Police arrest 6, including P-D reporter, at town hall meeting,” definitely caught my attention.

And knowing one of the reporters, Jake Wagman, who is a friend of my father (we all had dinner together last year), I wondered if it was Wagman who was arrested.

Sure enough, it was. According to the Post-Dispatch story, Wagman and five other folks were at a forum on aging in south St. Louis County called by U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-St. Louis. Wagman, it was reported was released later on his own recognizance. The others were arrested on misdemeanor charges

Word spread among conservative Tea Party Coalition members that Carnahan was speaking, so they arrived, as did a large contingent of Democrats and purple-shirted SEIU union types. The protesters began shouting back and forth, leading to a “carnival-like atmosphere.”

In fact, all comers were supposed to be allowed into the Carnahan event but many were not, while the SEIU types – union goons – were allowed in, no problem.

The clash resulted in a black conservative, who was handing out Gadsden flags featuring the “Don’t Tread On Me” slogan, to be injured by another black man who “used a racial slur against him before the attack.”

Another arrested Tea Party protester, Brian Matthews, told the Post-Dispatch that the cops hit him and others like “a bull rush.” Matthews’ 51-year-old female friend was maced and arrested. She vomited several times.

Clearly, with all the angry Americans out there, fed up with an out-of-control federal government and arrogant members of Congress, things are reaching a breaking point. And having experienced arrogant state officials in Missouri myself, what happened in St. Louis County is not surprising. My experience involved my discovery in April 2008 that the new Missouri license plates did not have a hyphen in “Show-Me State,” something required by state law. Red Dirt Report talked to David Griffith, with the state’s transportation department and when told of the mistake, he basically did not care. Their arrogance was shocking. My story was shared in the Post-Dispatch, The Joplin Globe and other Missouri news outlets and blog sites.

Said Post-Dispatch editor Arnie Robbins: “In arresting our reporter, we think the police overreacted and were over-zealous. While we understand that police have difficult jobs and were in a volatile situation, we hope they understand that reporters, too, have difficult jobs and were in a volatile situation.”

Bloggers in the St. Louis area, like Missourah and Gateway Pundit had some solid coverage, complete with video footage, to offer interested readers and activists.

The incredibly arrogant Carnahan commented that he wants to know who is sending these real Americans (SHOCK!) to come out and disrupt discussions about health care reform. Carnahan says these concerned Americans are really part of a corporate cabal – “they have mobilized with special interests in Washington who have lined their pockets by overcharging Americans for a broken health care system.”

Carnahan is beginning to sound like a conspiracy theorist, eh?

Talking to a family member in St. Louis, she told me Rush Limbaugh was talking about the clash in St. Louis and she seemed amazed at how things seem to be getting out of hand.

On The Alex Jones Show, the host was discussing the story as well, noting that with Obama coming out of Chicago and having been part of the Daley machine, with its thuggery and criminality, that these incidents are likely to increase before they subside.

“The cops are reduced to Chicago thuggery,” said Alex Jones, noting that the Daley machine tentacles reach into Missouri.

And just as The Joker in ‘The Dark Knight’ had goons, so does the new “Joker” who recently moved into the White House.

Recall last year Missouri Gov. Matt Blunt was appalled at then-Sen. Obama’s plans to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten, intimidate and arrest his critics. And then this spring we had the infamous MIAC report out of Jefferson City, targeting mainstream conservatives and pro-liberty folks. A lot of anti-freedom activity brewing amongst the authorities in Missouri. This is middle America, folks. The Heartland. What is happening?

It should be noted that while there have been no clashes at town halls in Oklahoma – Dan Boren, where are you? – professional far-left agitators will be attending a “community organizing event” at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church here in Oklahoma City all day tomorrow, as reported here.

Obama Connected Group Calls for Brownshirt Tactics Against Healthcare Opponents

    Kurt Nimmo
    August 7, 2009

An organization supported by Obama, Biden and 190 members of Congress, Health Care for America Now, instructs Democrats to confiscate signs and leaflets brought to Obamacare events by “rightwing extremists,” that is to say Americans opposed to totalitarian health care.

featured stories Obama Connected Group Calls for Brownshirt Tactics Against Healthcare Opponents
Democrats accuse middle class Americans of being rightwing extremists who need their free speech shut down.

“The best way to do this is to make a blanket rule that no one can bring signs or leaflets and to advertise this fact as you do turn out in the weeks preceding the event. You can distribute your own signs in the event and offer them one as they enter if you choose to allow them to enter,” the HCAN website instructs.

HCAN is supported by the usual suspects, including ACORN, unions, MoveOn.org (a George Soros outfit), the National Council of La Raza, the eugenics front Planned Parenthood Federation of America, and the Clintonite John Podesta’s war-mongering Center for American Progress.

HCAN will organize brownshirt thugs — called “marshals” — to patrol crowds with local police assistance to make sure no opposition can be voiced. “Make sure that you assign marshals to take care of moving the crowd, keeping people organized and orderly, and acting as security should any need arise to ask noisy or disruptive protesters to leave. If you have cause to think that you will need more back-up, notify the police ahead of time.”

The corporate media should also be tightly controlled, according to the organization. “It’s important that you take away right-wingers opportunities to talk with reporters by making sure that your staff or leaders are in constant contact with the media who attend. You should set up a special table or area for the press to sit during the event and that area should be close t the stage and away from any areas of the venue where protesters may gather. Also make sure you have materials ready for the reporters so that they know the purpose and message of the event,” the website explains.

    • A d v e r t i s e m e n t
    • efoods

HCAN claims Democrats and Obamanoids “are getting beaten up by right wing zealots in these meetings.” In fact, as Infowars documented earlier today, the exact opposite is the case — union thugs attacked a patriot outside of St. Louis yesterday and put him in the hospital. Police arrested anti-Obamacare demonstrators and even media covering the demonstrations.

HCAN also suggests Democrats get with members of Congress to shut down free speech and control the opposition. “One advantage to organizing your own Town Hall or public event with Members of Congress is that you will have much more control over the event and limit the other side’s opportunities for disruption.”

Earlier this week, Infowars reported on Obama’s plan to organize informer-citizens to turn in their neighbors and others who oppose Obamacare. “Since we can’t keep track of all of [the “rightwing” opponents] here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov,” writes Macon Phillips, the White House Director of New Media, in a post on the White House website.

News report on Obama’s enemies list.

During Bush’s reign the same tactics were evident, much to the outrage of liberals and Democrats. “As Bush has traveled the United States during this political campaign, the Secret Service and local police have often handled public protest by quickly arresting or removing demonstrators, free-speech advocates say,” the Washington Post reported on October 28, 2004. “In addition, access to Bush’s events has been unusually tightly controlled and people who do not support Bush’s reelection have been removed.” Now that the shoe is on the other foot, Democrats have become strident zealots in an effort to deny the First Amendment to their opponents.

Obviously, the Obamanoids are desperate to control the debate and shut down the massive opposition consisting largely of normal middle class Americans who are outraged by Obama’s rationed totalitarian health care plan. In order to control the issue and ram it through Congress, Obama’s operatives are certainly not beyond employing brownshirt tactics used by the Nazis in Germany and Stalin in the Soviet Union.

Media Says Protest Against Obamacare in Tampa “Near Riot”

A town hall meeting to talk about President Obama’s health care reform proposal turned into a near-riot in Tampa on Thursday.

Hundreds of people packed into the Children’s Board offices in Ybor City for the meeting sponsored by state Rep. Betty Reed and the Service Employees International Union.

But when guest speaker U.S. Rep. Kathy Castor tried to talk about health care reforms, protesters started screaming and booing, drowning her out.

“I was afraid they were going to jump on her at one time,” said health care reform supporter Ann Jenkins. “They were all in her face trying to scream. What they were trying to scream and nobody knows what that was and nothing got accomplished.”

Union Thugs Beat Patriot at Obamacare Town Hall in St. Louis

    August 7, 2009

The effort to discredit and shut down opposition to Obamacare has gone from Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid holding up artificial turf and House Majority Leader Nancy Pelosi calling opponents Nazis to violence. During a demonstration Thursday evening outside a forum on aging called by U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan, D-St. Louis, in Mehville, Missouri, a patriot was viciously attacked by union thugs.

“Health care reform opponents felt cheated after being locked out of the town hall,” writes Ryan Witt for the Examiner. “Some believed that SEIU (Service Employees International Union) members were being let in instead of them… From my personal observation the Carnahan office was allowing people who had RSVP’d beforehand to go in ahead of others.”

The Democrat Carnahan packed the event and attempted to prevent the opposition from attending. As the video below reveals, ACORN activists also received preferential treatment at the stage-managed event:

The St. Louis Dispatch reports people opposed to Obamacare “were kept out because of the turnout,” an assertion at odds with the above video. “The back and forth between factions within the crowd created a carnival-like atmosphere inside and out between members of the movement opposing President Barack Obama’s policies and groups who came to show support for the president’s proposals.”

    • A d v e r t i s e m e n t
    • efoods

In a prepared statement after the event, Carnahan characterized the opposition as “disrupters” and said they were “mobilized” by “special interests in Washington who have lined their pockets by overcharging Americans for a broken health care system.”

Union thugs viciously attacked a patriot, Kenneth Gladney, who was handing out Gadsen flags outside the stage-managed event. The St. Louis Tea Party was also demonstrating against Democrats attempting to force Obamacare through Congress.

As the video below documents, the “disrupters” were pro-Obamacare supporters, not Gladney or the St. Louis Tea Party.

“Kenneth was attacked on the evening of August 6, 2009 at Rep. Russ Carnahan’s town hall meeting in South St. Louis County,” writes Gladney’s attorney, David B. Brown, in an email sent to Infowars. “Kenneth was approached by an SEIU representative as Kenneth was handing out ‘Don’t Tread on Me’ flags to other conservatives. The SEIU representative demanded to know why a black man was handing out these flags. The SEIU member used a racial slur against Kenneth, then punched him in the face. Kenneth fell to the ground. Another SEIU member yelled racial epithets at Kenneth as he kicked him in the head and back. Kenneth was also brutally attacked by one other male SEIU member and an unidentified woman. The three men were clearly SEIU members, as they were wearing T-shirts with the SEIU logo.”

“Kenneth supports conservative ideals, although he subscribes to no particular political party,” Brown continues. “We are calling on the SEIU, Representative Carnahan, and President Obama to condemn the racist actions of these union thugs. In the days to come, we will be investigating whether these thugs are working at the behest of Representative Carnahan and how strong their alliances to various organizations — such as ACORN — may be… We hope the St. Louis Tea Party and tea party organizations around the country will protest Representative Carnahan’s offices and also protest SEIU offices in every major city across the U.S. These Democratic strong-arm tactics must end now.”

Brown characterizes the attack on Gladney, who was hospitalized with multiple injuries, as “a truly senseless hate crime.” According to Democrats, however, the hate criminals and “astroturfers” are citizens opposed to Obama’s plan to hijack health care and force all Americans into a mandatory government program at gunpoint.

    Obama’s Imperial Decree: Target Oklahoma

    Bryce Shonka
    Tenth Amendment Center
    August 7, 2009

Remember the good old days, when one only had to watch out for the Federal Government’s twisted interpretation of the commerce clause to justify tyranny?

Well those days seem to be long gone.  The Obama Administration has been employing an old tactic lately – what some might call an imperial threat – and they’re not doing it overseas, either.

The state of Oklahoma is now the target of a direct challenge from US Attorney General Eric Holder, who is using the Civil Rights Act of 1964 as justification to violate Oklahoma’s sovereignty as affirmed by the Tenth Amendment to the US Constitution.

In a letter written to the State Attorney General in April, the Federal government used aggressive language, bringing up the possibility of withholding Federal funds appropriated for Oklahoma.  The reason?  A proposed amendment to the State Constitution, which requires voter approval, that would make English the official language of the State.

“What it indicates is the Federal Government’s contempt for the states, in this case Oklahoma, and for the idea of federal — as opposed to national — government. AG Holder believes that Oklahoma is an administrative subdivision of the USA, and that it is perfectly right for him to coerce Oklahomans to do his will. Who cares whether he has ever been to Oklahoma, met an Oklahoman, or thought about Oklahoma?” said Kevin Gutzman, an American historian and New York Times bestselling author.

Oklahoma is not alone as a state challenged by central authority in recent months.  Recently, federal firearms licensees in Tennessee and Montana received a letter from another Federal agency, the ATF, who had also issued a decree wrought with hubris – claims by the Federal government of their legal supremacy across the land.

“Both of these letters, particularly this letter to the Attorney General of Oklahoma, are very officious,” observed Rob Natelson, professor of law at the University of Montana.  “It reminds one eerily of the kinds of communications that started to come out from the Emperor to the local cities of the Roman Empire, beginning the course of the ultimate destruction of local government.”

Professor Natelson is a widely-recognized expert on the framing and adoption of the United States Constitution, and on several occasions, he has been the first to uncover key background facts about the Constitution’s meaning.  I knew this before our conversation.  What I didn’t know, however, was that he’s also been studying Roman Law and history for the past 50 years, and is responsible for several works in that field.

    • A d v e r t i s e m e n t
    • efoods

“During the 2nd century AD, the Roman Emperors began increasingly to interfere with local government and they did this with…letters…letters that look something like this,” continued Natelson, indicating the letter from Holder to Oklahoma.  “They started out as almost advisory and they got increasingly peremptory.  By the end of the 2nd century, there was very little local government left.  You had very few people, therefore, willing to participate in local elections; very little patriotic spirit towards one’s own province or city.  And this was the harbinger for the ultimate centralization of the Roman Empire.”

He continued with a strong, decisive tone, “Almost everyone who’s studied in that area agrees that the effect was to sap the life out of the empire, so that everything flowed to the center.  All that counted was the Emperor and his bureaucrats…and his courtiers.  I look at this and I see this letter which gets close to looking like an order from the central government down to a sovereign state legislature, and I say…WOW.  This looks like something that Septimius Severus would have sent to the local officials.”

In Columbus, Ohio last weekend, a rally in support of State Sovereignty drew around 7,000 people.  Judge Andrew Napolitano addressed the rally and made similar comments indicating the nature of our current point in US history.

“In the long history of the world, very few generations have been granted the role of defending freedom in its maximum hour of danger. This is that moment and you are that generation”

    Are these men ‘crying wolf’?

“Some people might think that’s a far fetched analogy but I can’t emphasize enough how important this development is seen by historians.  When people think of the collapse of the Roman Empire they think of the fall of Rome in 476 AD.  The conversion of Rome from a relatively free state – almost a Federation – into a totalitarian state, really picked up speed and accelerated during the 2nd century [AD], with this increasing intermeddling by the central authorities in local state government.  That’s what it reminded me of,” recalled Natelson.

“[The DOJ] are not violating any law by sending these letters, but there’s a change in tone, there’s a new and disturbing tone in them.  At least the ATF letter was addressed to individuals.  This one is addressed to a state legislature – really, it’s a bit much. Besides the fact that there’s the tone, there’s the fact that they sent the letters at all.  Most of the letters that were sent out by the emperor were called rescripts, and that’s almost what [the letter from Holder] looks like.  The one difference is that a rescript was usually a reply to a request for advice.  In some ways this is worse than a rescript because this is unsolicited.  A better way to compare it would be to an imperial constitutio – an imperial decision or decree.” Natelson added.

His Roman analogy is worth considering, for several reasons.  Rome may have ended up a brutal dictatorship, but it began through a series of treaties between regions, and in some ways parallels present day America.

“When you draw comparisons between the U.S. and ancient Rome, you have to be very cautious, though Rome does have lessons to offer us and the history and results of the relentless centralization of the Empire is one of them,” Natelson continued.

If there’s a case to be made that the US is headed for the same sort of central plan that sucks the life out of a Republic, it would be difficult to imagine who in the United States could be encouraged by such a trend, outside of DC’s beltway.

“Certainly state legislators in Oklahoma and congressmen from Oklahoma should put the Federal Government on notice that they will support a substantial reduction in the budget for Holder’s portion of the federal bureaucracy so long as he is trying to coerce them in this way.” recommended Gutzman.

Worldwide trends in recent political elections do exhibit signs of a move away from central planner candidates, a trend the United States has been contrary to for nearly a decade, but perhaps the pendulum has reversed itself.

“As the economy grows increasingly complicated, increasingly interdependent and increasingly technological, centralized control (which never worked very well) works less and less, and people are less willing to stand for it.  This reflects a visceral gut reaction people have against centralized control, because they know from their own life it makes no sense, though it always takes time for those mega-trends to filter into the political class,” Natelson continued. “Eventually, when a mule gets hit over the head enough times it figures out what’s going on, and eventually the politicians will figure out what’s going on, too.”

People in the US are coming together by the thousands, demanding decentralization and nullification of Federal powers. Never before have the political elites had to contend with a non-partisan political force on such a massive scale.  A storm seems to be brewing; a maelstrom of everyday Americans rallying around the document designed to keep the government in fear of the people – instead of the other way around

Cops Taser Old Man For Sitting In Wrong Seat At Baseball Game

Cops Taser Old Man For Sitting In Wrong Seat At Baseball Game 070809top

Yet another video has emerged of cops tasering someone for sitting in the wrong seat at a sports event. The victim this time was an old man attending an Oakland Athletics baseball game in Oakland California.

The man tased by cops was 62-year-old Thomas Bruso, who apparently was sitting in the wrong seat and was drinking alcohol. Police claimed that the man was not “complying” with attempts to arrest him so the crowd was cleared and he was tasered from behind.

Another man is seen being pushed down the stairs as the situation escalates.

“While the man is clearly uncooperative and perhaps belligerent, it is unclear why a shot of 50,000 volts was needed,” comments Constitutional lawyer Jonathan Turley.

As the incident unfolded an observer in the crowd commented, “C’mon, take it easy on him….I can’t believe you guys tased him.”

“This individual is not a small person,” said Ofc. Jeff Thomason. “He is 6-foot-1, 280 pounds, so getting in a fight with an individual like this is not in the officer’s best interest.”

However, as the video shows, the cops attempted to arrest the man for barely a minute before resorting to using the taser. The man was resisting arrest but he was not in a “fight” with the cops as Thomason implies.

This is not the first time that police have deployed a taser on someone for sitting in the wrong seat at a sports event.

In a far more disturbing case last year, Wisconsin police were caught on camera tasering a 54-year-old woman at a football game in Madison.

Margaret Hiebing, a veteran Badger season ticket holder, was ejected from the Camp Randall stadium during the Oct. 11 game against Penn State after she was found sitting in the wrong seat, reported WKOW 27 News.

Hiebing had taken a different seat because someone else had occupied her usual place at the packed game.

When police approached Mrs Hiebing she explained the situation and refused to leave. Onlookers began to berate the cops after one of them reportedly threatened Hiebing with pepper spray.

    • A d v e r t i s e m e n t
    • efoods

One witness filmed the altercation on a cell phone, evidence which would later dispel initial police claims that Hiebing was causing an obstruction by sitting in the aisle. Police then forced Hiebing face down on the ground and tased her on the back of the leg, confining her to a wheelchair because she was unable to walk out of the stadium.

Both these cases, and hundreds more that have occurred down the years, illustrate that the taser, far from being a cop’s last line of defense against a dangerous individual, is being used as a torture device for the purposes of pain compliance – merely forcing the victim to submit to the officer’s demands whether they pose a physical threat to the cop or not.

Watch both clips below, the first one being from the Orlando incident.

    Holdren: Infants Not Human Beings

    Jurriaan Maessen
    August 7, 2009

The infamous Holdren quotes from the 1977 ‘Ecoscience’ textbook, proposing forced sterilizations and other draconian measures to bring about mass death, are no incidental exercises in academic frivolity. In the 1973 publication ‘Human Ecology: Problems and Solutions’, co-authored by his old buddies, the Ehrlichs, Holdren wrote quite candidly about his basic view on human life, providing us with a peek at the undergrowth out of which the Ecoscience document has emerged, proposing among other things a ‘planetary regime’ to assume command of matters of life and death.

featured stories Holdren: Infants Not Human Beings
featured stories Holdren: Infants Not Human Beings featured stories Holdren: Infants Not Human Beings

In chapter 8 of the ‘Human Ecology’-document, page 235, Holdren gives us his definition of human life:

The fetus”, Holdren writes, “given the opportunity to develop properly before birth, and given the essential early socializing experiences and sufficient nourishing food during the crucial early years after birth, will ultimately develop into a human being.”

In other words, Holdren argues that people during the early years after birth, cannot yet be defined as human beings. Given this presumption by Obama’s science advisor, it may not be surprising to learn that he does not shy away from coercive abortion policies or other such measures to scale back the population. After all, if an infant cannot be construed as being a human being, as Holdren argues, God-given rights do not apply to them nor does constitutional protection- and therefore they can be considered as completely at the government’s mercy.

Just like in Ecoscience, Holdren and the Ehrlichs present the case for involuntary fertility control in the Human Ecology monstrosity:

“Several coercive proposals deserve discussion mainly because societies may ultimately have to resort to them unless trends in birth rates are rapidly reversed by other means.”

Although the authors deem “compulsory control of family size” as being “unpalatable”, they nevertheless prefer it to other methods:

“(…) the alternatives may be much more horrifying. As those alternatives become clearer to an increasing number of people in the 1970s, we may well find them demanding such control. A far better choice, in our view, is to begin now with milder methods of influencing family size preferences, while ensuring that the means of birth control, including abortion and sterilization, are accessible to every human being on Earth within the shortest possible time. If effective action is taken promptly perhaps the need for involuntary or repressive measures can be averted.”

    • A d v e r t i s e m e n t
    • efoods

One has to wear ear pads the size of Texas Choice grapefruits to miss the threatening implications of these words. Just as Holdren’s comments have not been penned down in a vacuum, Holdren himself does not stand alone in his chilling stance. There is an entire subgroup within the scientific community consisting of a neo-Malthusian cast of characters, filling all kinds of official functions in public and private life. But when one of these demons (with a rap sheet listing numerous examples of an abject disregard for human life) occupies a key position within the government there should be some consequence- preferably a dethronement followed by an unequivocal denouncement on the part of the President.

Out of which sublevel place do these rats come crawling up onto the surface of respectability? The answer: a very unwholesome place indeed, with a lineage that can be traced straight back to the Rockefeller-funded eugenics and- family planning apparatus, set in motion many decades before. The fact that the writings of John P. Holdren and company haven’t generated the massive outrage they deserve is an outrage in its own right. Taking into account that the author is Obama’s chief science advisor, serious thought should be given to legal steps against Mr. Holdren- effectively resulting in the removal of this individual from his current position and exposing the neo-Malthusian tendency to worm their way into both the scientific and political establishments.

Holdren Urged a ‘World of Zero Net Physical Growth’ in 1995 World Bank Publication

A top White House adviser to President Barack Obama argued that mankind eventually must face up to the need for a “world of zero net physical growth” and “population limitation” in an essay he co-authored that was included in a 1995 book on environmentally “sustainable” economic activity published by the World Bank.

John P. Holdren, who is now director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, co-authored the essay with Paul Ehrlich and Gretchen Daily of the Center for Conservation Biology at Stanford. Ehrlich has been a well-known population control advocate since he authored the 1968 bestseller, “The Population Bomb,” in which he advocated zero population growth. At the time the 1995 essay was published, Holdren was a professor at the University of California.

The essay—“The Meaning of Sustainability: Biogeophysical Aspects”—was published in the first chapter of “Defining and Measuring Sustainability: The Biogeophysical Foundations,” a book published in 1995 by the World Bank.  The book is available as a PDF on the World Bank’s Web site.
