Hollywood Gossip Websites Cover Appearance of Pratts on Alex Jones’ Show

    July 1, 2009

It took didn’t take long for the corporate media gossip machine to crank out hit pieces aimed at Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag Pratt after they appeared on the Alex Jones Show.

Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag Pratt are not strangers to the gossip media.

“In a Monday appearance on Alex Jones’ radio show, Infowars, the couple revealed they feel 9/11 was an ‘inside job,’ say the idea that global warming exists is ‘mind boggling’ and lament the ‘end of humanity,’” writes the website for Us Magazine, the celebrity gossip weekly founded by The New York Times Company.

The Pratts told Jones — who is known for his conspiracy theories of a “New World Order” (or, as he feels, code for “totalitarian world government”) — they found out about him after a music producer gave them a copy of Jones’ movie, The Obama Deception.

“I really do feel like we took the blue pill or whatever from The Matrix,” Spencer says.

The website includes a link to an Infowars podcast of the broadcast.

Us Magazine picked up the story from Jezebel, an appropriately named blog covering “celebrity, sex, fashion for women.”

Sadie, writing for the lurid website, characterized Alex Jones as a “paleo-wingnut.” According to Ms. Sadie, “Alex Jones is a Texas-based nut-job with a penchant for conspiracy theories, references to ‘Big Brother’ and, obviously, a history of appearances in the worst Richard Linklater movies. In 2007 he made a film called Loose Change dealing with “the New World Order,” aka ‘totalitarian world government.’ (The New World Order seems to involve Obama deception, the suppression of American sovereignty and a lot of conspiracies.)”

“Spiedi” and her husband, according to Jezebel, are “Obama-big deep thinkers” who are “prepared to address the secret population decline.” In fact, as Alex has repeatedly pointed out on his show and in his documentaries, engineered “population decline,” more accurately defined as eugenics, is anything but a secret.

“Jones says he plans to have the couple back on his show in the coming days, presumably to continue their education,” the Jezebel scribe sarcastically continues. “We hope so, because if this is part of Spencer’s plan for world domination, it’s seriously mysterious.”

The imaginatively titled website The Hollywood Gossip also picked up the story. “The plastic pair hit up a conservative radio show, hosted by Alex Jones, to speak about their ‘awakening’ towards something called ‘the New World Order,’” writes Free Britney (another imaginative name). “Are these two possibly for real, or is this just another attempt by The Hills’ gruesome twosome to generate more media attention in any way possible?”

As the interview revealed, Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag Pratt are for real and determined to use their celebrity to send the message far and wide. Us Magazine, Jezebel, and The Hollywood Gossip may think they are merely engaging in routine trashing of the “plastic pair,” but they are helping get the message out, too.

Fourth of July Checkpoints in California

    Kurt Nimmo

John Adams is probably rolling over in this grave. On July 3, 1776, Adams wrote to his wife Abigail that the second day of July — later changed to the 4th — “ought to be commemorated as the day of deliverance, by solemn acts of devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with pomp and parade, with shows, games, sports, guns, bells, bonfires, and illuminations, from one end of this continent to the other, from this time forward forever more.”

Fast forward more than two hundred years after Adams wrote this. Not only do far too many Americans have but a faint inkling of what the day represents, they have also come to accept the injuries and usurpations that inspired the Declaration of Independence and led to war with Great Britain.

The British Crown had “sent hither swarms of Officers to harass our people” with illegal and unwarranted searches, most notably the Excise Act of 1754, which gave tax collectors unlimited powers to interrogate colonists concerning their use of goods subject to customs and permitted the use of a general warrant known as a writ of assistance, allowing them to search the homes of colonists and seize “prohibited and uncustomed” goods. These “grievous and oppressive” searches figured prominently in the revolution and led to the Fourth Amendment.

On July 4, 2009, the city of Pasadena, California, will celebrate independence by erecting checkpoints to search vehicles for fireworks. “Violators are subject to confiscation and impound of vehicles, up to one year in jail and fines up to $50,000,” reports the Pasadena Star-News.

So much for John Adams’ “illuminations.”

Homeland Security and U.S. Army Plan Invasion of States

    Jim Kouri
    July 1, 2009

The Pentagon and Department of Homeland Security recently hosted a teleconference for law enforcement agencies and associations such as the National Association of Chiefs of Police to discuss the Obama Administration’s interest in using the military during “emergencies.”

Fortunately, NewsWithViews.com had exclusive access to the discussion and the explanations by Homeland Security and Defense Departments officials.

Officials announced during the teleconference that the Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency Administrator W. Craig Fugate met with the Commander, US Northern Command, General Gene Renuart, to discuss “pre-disaster planning, response and recovery in support of the federal response to the 2009 hurricane season as well as wild fires, floods and other potential disasters.”

The meeting reinforced the important relationship between the two organizations and focused on the operational role of US Northern Command and what resources and skills they bring to any major Federal effort related to all-hazards preparedness, response, recovery and mitigation. It was also an opportunity to meet operational leaders who would fill key positions in those support efforts.

“NORTHCOM plays a vital role in disaster response in support of state and local officials,” Fugate said. “I am impressed by their commitment to teamwork and interoperability. They are leaning forward and are solutions-oriented partners among the nation’s emergency response team.”

“We are committed to teaming with and supporting our civilian partners,” added Renuart. “If our federal partners, state and local officials are successful in responding to contingency operations, then ultimately we are successful. We look forward to our continued collaboration and cooperation.”

However, many law enforcement executives and organizations went on the record saying they did not appreciate the prospect of federal troops usurping the authority of local and state law enforcement agencies or the role of the National Guard unit currently under the control of governors.

“My initial reaction is: why are we allowing federal troops to basically invade the sovereignty of individual states when each state has its own law enforcement agencies and each state possesses an armed and trained National Guard and, in the case of some states such as New York, a trained militia?” according to New York police officer Edna Aquino.

“We have not used armed federal troops in New York since the Civil War when Union troops and Navy battleships attacked dissenters who opposed conscription by the Union Army,” she added.

According to officials from the Homeland Security Department, FEMA and Northern Command share a common interest and a unified approach to disaster response and recovery.

“Both organizations also understand that the most effective plans to save lives and protect property begins with preparedness. This meeting was an important stepping stone to ensure mutual preparedness and effective planning in support of state and local officials,” said one official.

Homeland Security Department officials offered these two rationales for their joint ventures with the Department of Defense:

“Emergency preparedness is everyone’s responsibility. Everyone should have a personal response plan for a disaster, everyone should know who their first responders are at the local and state level, and everyone should be prepared to be self-sufficient for at least the first 72 hours.

“FEMA’s mission is to support our citizens and first responders to ensure that as a nation we work together to build, sustain, and improve our capability to prepare for, protect against, respond to, recover from, and mitigate all hazards.”

Political strategist Mike Baker is disturbed over this latest “emergency plan” designed to allow federal troops to operate freely within US borders.

“This is a constitutionally unsound development for our nation. While President Barack Obama and his ilk worry about how America’s military is perceived by other nations and are concerned with how we treat enemies, they seem to be willing to use extreme measures against their own citizens.

Will we witness another Branch Davidian massacre in the name of ‘emergency response’ or other rationale? It’s not a positive development for this nation,” said Baker.

Northcom was established about a year after the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks and is responsible for an area of operations that includes the United States, Canada and Mexico. It serves as a “one-stop-shopping” point for military support in case of an attack on American soil. However, according to officials speaking during the teleconference, the Obama Administration is expanding that role to include natural disasters or emergencies that were once the domain of state and local authorities.

Over the years, according to Baker, the federal government has expanded its role and even included other nations in operational plans within the US. For example NORAD is a joint US-Canadian command established 51 years ago to defend against nuclear-armed Soviet aircraft entering North American airspace. Decades later, the command’s mission has expanded to include early detection of threats via air, space, land and sea.

The sheer number of participants speaks to NORAD’s level of preparation and coordination to operate within US borders. Teaming up to deal with emergencies are American and Canadian NORAD agents, the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Transportation Security Administration, Royal Canadian Mounted Police, NAV Canada, the White House, U.S. Departments of Defense and Homeland Security.

“This is not something we should be celebrating. This is something we as Americans should fear,” states another NYPD officer.

“If states do not have the capability to respond on their own to a hurricane or earthquake, then perhaps they should increase their capabilities or change their leadership,” said Det. Benny Cardoza.

“Using Hurricane Katrina as an excuse to increase federal authority in the affairs of individual states is a sorry excuse and one that should be shunned by citizens and local cops,” states the decorated cop.

Why is a U.S. Army brigade being assigned to “Homeland Security?

The CIA’s Swine Flu & Your Plastic FEMA Coffin

In 2006 an interesting motion picture appeared via Universal Studios: “The Constant Gardener”, starring Ralph Fiennes and Rachel Weisz. The script, written based on the fictional work by author John Le Carre, has all the classic Illuminati elements: corrupt British government officials and money hungry corporate elites manipulate pharmaceutical interests in South Africa such that 62 innocent poor South Africans who live in an AIDS stricken local region die during drug trials to test a new drug for treatment of tuberculosis.

The drug does partially cure TB but often kills the patient as well. A British official’s young wife discovers the ugly truth, tries to reveal it and embarrass the British govrnment into recalling the imperfect drug and correct their flawed formula, and she dies as a result of trying to bring the truth to light. Eventually her grieving husband dies trying to vindicate her murder, but as films most often do, the scriptwriter gives us all a happy ending by writing a story that ends with the evil British officials being revealed and the truth being brought to Light.

One key element in this script really stood out for me when I watched this film again this morning. The Pharmaceutical company who landed the “global contract” to produce the TB cure stood to earn billions and billions of dollars dispensing their “cure” for a new and especially virulent strain of TB.

Let’s fast forward to 2009. We now have more than 500 FEMA concentration camps which have been built all over the USA, replete with stacks of millions of plastic coffins everywhere on the grounds of alot of these FEMA camps. This “camp building” activity has been going on for some time now, several years in fact, (see our site map and links to the FEMA REX 84 page). Citizen journalists have been reporting on it all over the USA, wondering what the FEDS and FEMA were up to. Now we know. They have developed a strain of flu by combining H5N1 and H3N2 flu viruses that will resist all existing treatment drugs except the ones they will offer through selected multinational pharmaceuticals to the infected world population, thus guaranteeing obscene profits for the makers of the treatment drugs, while reducing the world population and implementing martial law to control those populations who are left alive. What better excuse to implement martial law than an illuminati created “global flu pandemic”?

What are we being told these days about the Swine Flu? Are we being told that it could somehow “morph” into a new super flu strain that might resist all known drug treatments we have have, including Tamiflu? Are we being told that a “pandemic” is now imminent, when in fact new cases seem to be proceeding at about the same pace as any typical flu season?

HOW MUCH of what we are reading in the world media about Swine Flu is real, and how much of it is utterly fabricated “public opinion forming” global illuminati propaganda? I’d sure like to know. Below are some links for further reading and research.

Will two flus mix in Indonesia? Experts worry

Mon Jun 29, 2009 2:00pm EDT By Olivia Rondonuwu

JAKARTA (Reuters) – Indonesia’s first cases of the new H1N1 flu have raised concerns that if the virus spreads it could combine with the entrenched and deadly H5N1 avian influenza to create a more lethal strain of flu.

Even if this worst-case scenario did not occur, experts say populous, developing countries such as Indonesia, India or Egypt, where healthcare systems can be rudimentary, will suffer more deaths from the new virus.

Indonesian Health Minister Siti Fadillah Supari, who confirmed six new H1N1 cases on Sunday, said she was concerned about H1N1, widely known as swine flu, “marrying” with H5N1 avian flu.

Influenza viruses not only mutate quickly and unpredictably, but they can swap genes, especially if a person or animal becomes infected with two strains at once. The new H1N1 strain is itself a mixture of various strains, genetic tests show.

H5N1 bird flu has been circulating in Asia for years and has hit Indonesia harder than any other country. Although it only rarely infects people, it has killed 262 out of 433 infected globally since 2003, with 141 of those cases in Indonesia.

“We are scared because we are the warehouse of the world’s most virulent H5N1,” Supari said.

“I am worried if the viruses encounter each other in the field,” C.A. Nidom, the head of the Avian Influenza lab at Airlangga University in Surabaya, said.

The World Health Organization declared a pandemic of H1N1 swine flu earlier this month and said the virus causes a moderately severe flu, spreading very easily from person to person. H5N1 spreads mostly from a bird to a person and stops there, but is far deadlier.

The mortality rate for H1N1 is 0.2 percent, according to a study in the New England Journal of Medicine, while for H5N1 it is just over 60 percent.

Scientists say usually as a virus becomes more transmissible from one human to another it also becomes less deadly, although this is not guaranteed.

But Kamaruddin Zarkasie of Indonesia’s Bogor Agriculture University said he felt the risk the two viruses might combine was only a random possibility.

Even if they do not, H1N1 may be a serious threat, other experts said.

Ben Cowling, public health expert at the University of Hong Kong, said people with serious infections who would be admitted to hospitals in developed countries and survive might die in poorer countries.

“It would be reasonable to say the mortality rate in underdeveloped settings is likely to be more comparable to the ICU (admission) rate in developed settings, or five times higher than the mortality rate in developed settings,” Cowling said.

“In poorer parts of India and China … people are nutritionally less able to fight infection and they don’t have the drugs that we have in major cities,” said Robert Booy, head of clinical research at the University of Sydney’s National Center for Immunization Research & Surveillance.

H1N1 has killed more than 300 people and there have been at least 67,000 confirmed cases worldwide.

Beck and Former CIA Employee Agree: U.S. Needs to be Hit by al-Qaeda

    July 1, 2009

Glenn Beck nods and agrees with his guest Michael Scheuer that the only way to “save” the US (from illegal immigrants, of course) is for Osama bin Laden to succeed in detonating a weapon on American soil. Scheuer and Beck hit all the conservative buttons, from Mexicans to the mainstream media and the worst of all, Europeans. From the June 30th, 2009 Glenn Beck on Fox News.

Europe Considers Pulling Ambassadors From Tehran

Iran courted new levels of post-election isolation from the European Union on Wednesday as European diplomats pondered whether to withdraw the ambassadors of all 27 member nations in a dispute over the detention of the British Embassy’s local personnel.

European diplomats said that no formal decision to order their envoys home had been taken but that the measure was an option under consideration as the European Union — Iran’s biggest trading partner — tries to work out how to defuse the dispute in a way that would shield other embassies in Tehran from similar action.

Withdrawing all 27 ambassadors would represent a rare and unusually forceful display of European anger at Iran’s behavior, and several diplomats said the European Union would prefer to avoid it. Diplomats in Europe said they could not recall such concerted action by the entire, expanded bloc.

Number of civilians killed in Iraq jumps in June

The number of civilians killed in Iraq jumped to 373 in June, the Health Ministry said, up from a record low of 134 in May because of a spate of deadly bombings in Baghdad and northern Iraq.

The number of U.S. troops killed in combat fell marginally to 10, from 12 in May, according to website http://www.icasualties.org, which collates official data.

U.S. forces completed their withdrawal from Iraq’s cities on Tuesday, raising fears militants will try to exploit a security gap to step up attacks. U.S. commanders say Iraqi forces are up to the challenge and will be helped by U.S. troops trying to disrupt the movements of members of militant networks.

    The Decline of Thinking

The political establishment’s response to the global warming doubts raised by EPA researcher, Alan Carlin, is remarkable. The mantra chanted by one EPA official – and dutifully echoed across the media – is that Mr. Carlin “is not a scientist.” This fact, of course, has not kept Al Gore from becoming the patron saint of the environmental religion. (Gore received his PhD in which of the recognized sciences?)

An assertion of this sort is evidence of the anti-intellectualism that has metastasized across academia and spread to other venues of expression. Universities have become so dominated by an insistence upon the inviolability of the “turfs” of various disciplines as to make one unworthy to speak on matters of which he or she has not been certified to utter opinions by fellow academics. There was once a time – many decades ago – when a “liberal arts” education was regarded as a means of introducing people to a wide range of subject areas that would permit them to think and speak intelligently on various matters affecting their lives. Collective thinking – which now permeates college campuses – rejects such an idea, conferring subject matter monopolies according to one’s acknowledged “expertise.”

When my “In Restraint of Trade” book was first published twelve years ago, an academic reviewer from a respected history department spent most of his time acquainting his readers with the fact that I taught in a law school and not a history department. The review ended up being little more than a strident defense of turf, and a condemnation of my efforts to focus attention on matters unfamiliar to historians.

I enjoy watching Jonathan Hoenig every Saturday morning on Fox News’ “Cashin’ In” program on investment analysis. He is a consistent advocate of free-markets, individual liberty, and private property. He recently stated that humans “must think in order to survive,” but that we have recently been “outsourcing” this function to others. Such a practice now prevails on university campuses, and helps to explain why academia is a source of so little original and meaningful thinking. Don’t wonder about what anything means: the “experts” whose jobs are dependent upon advancing the agendas of the political establishment will explain it all to you!

By-the-mile road tax could replace by-the-gallon federal fuel tax

The year is 2020 and the gasoline tax is history. In its place you get a monthly tax bill based on each mile you drove — tracked by a Global Positioning System device in your car and uploaded to a billing center.

What once was science fiction is being field-tested by the University of Iowa to iron out the wrinkles should a by-the-mile road tax ever be enacted.

Besides the technological advances making such a tax possible, the idea is getting a hard push from a growing number of transportation experts and officials. That is because the traditional by-the-gallon fuel tax, struggling to keep up with road building and maintenance demands, could fall even farther behind as vehicles’ gas mileage rises and more alternative-fuel vehicles come on line.
